    Soulgen

Considering how many AI platforms promise “intimate chats,” I was naturally curious about how SoulGen frames its offering—and more importantly, whether its NSFW chat actually delivers or just dances around the edges.

I wasn’t just looking for fluff; I wanted to see if they genuinely support adult-themed conversations or if the “intimate dialogue” tag is only cosmetic. My goal was to see whether SoulGen Chat could serve those intrigued by explicit or erotic AI conversation.

Soulgen Chatbot User Guide: How to Use It?

This guide will show you step-by-step how to start, manage, and get the most out of a roleplay chat with a character like Vera “The Serpent” Kovalev.

    1) The Layout at a Glance

    • Left sidebar – Chat History: Your list of conversations. Each item shows the character’s avatar and title. Click any item to reopen that thread.
    • Center – Conversation window: Live messages appear here (Vera’s message bubble is shown).
    • Top bar – Chat header: Avatar + character name, overflow menu, and a Share icon.
    • Notice banner: “Free user chat memories are only saved for 30 days. Get PRO.” (memory/upgrade info).
    • Right sidebar – Character profile: Large portrait with image carousel, name, and a scrollable bio/backstory.
    • Composer row (bottom):
      • Ask for button (quick prompts/requests)
      • Phone icon (call)
      • Message box (“Type a message”) + Send arrow
    • Floating card (center): Give me a call → Call Now (quick way to start a live voice call).
    • Small right-edge buttons: APP (download/open the app) and a chat/help bubble.

    2) Start a New Session or Resume One

    1. Open a thread: In Chat History, click a character (e.g., Vera “The Serpent” Kovalev).
    2. Check the header: Confirm you’re in the right chat—name and avatar are at the top center.

Tip: To keep your workspace tidy, use the left sidebar to switch characters instead of opening multiple browser tabs.

    3) Learn the Character (Right Sidebar)

    1. Browse images: Use the arrows over the large portrait to cycle through the character’s gallery. The dots under the image indicate how many photos are available.
    2. Read the bio: Below the image you’ll see the character’s name and a rich description (background, personality, tone). Scroll to read it all. This helps you roleplay in-character.

Use what you read to set the scene (“We’re meeting on neutral ground in Prague…”) or to challenge the character in ways that match their personality.

    4) Send Messages (Center Composer)

    1. Write your line: Click Type a message and compose.
    2. Send: Click the Send arrow (or press Enter if supported).
    3. Time stamps: Each message shows a time (e.g., 09:17) so you can follow the flow.

    Using Ask for

    • Click Ask for to open quick actions (based on the iconography, this is a shortcut for structured requests—e.g., “ask for a photo/prompt,” “request a monologue,” “continue the scene,” etc.).
    • Choose a suggestion to insert it into the chat and send, or adapt it first.

If you don’t see the exact option you need, type a natural prompt: “Describe the last time you had to outwit a rival boss.”

    5) Make a Voice Call

There are two ways to call:

    • Floating card: Click Call Now on the “Give me a call” pop-up.
    • Phone icon next to the input: Click it to initiate a call.

    Before calling:

    • Allow microphone permission in your browser when prompted.
    • Use headphones to avoid echo/feedback.

    During a call (typical controls):

    • Mute/unmute, end call, and continue the text chat simultaneously. If audio fails, hang up and try again or switch networks.

    6) Manage the Chat

    Overflow menu (top-right ⋯)

    Common actions here include:

    • Rename conversation (for easier retrieval in Chat History)
    • Delete/clear chat (remove it from the sidebar)
    • Notifications or silence (if supported)
    • Report/block (safety tools)

Exact entries vary by build, but use whenever you need per-chat settings.

    Share icon (top-right)

    • Export or share a snapshot of the conversation (e.g., link or image). Review what will be shared before confirming.

    Memory & PRO banner

    • The banner states that free chat memories persist for 30 days. If you want longer memory (the AI recalling deeper context over time), consider upgrading via Get PRO.

    7) Work with Multiple Threads

    • Your Chat History shows one tile per character or storyline.
    • Click a tile to jump back in exactly where you left off.
    • Use clear titles (via ⋯ → rename) if you run parallel storylines (e.g., “Vera – Dockside Deal” vs. “Vera – Gala Night”).

    8) Use the App & Support

    • APP button (right-edge): Install/open the mobile or desktop app (faster access, notifications, better mic handling).
    • Chat/help bubble: Open support, FAQs, or contact the team if you hit a problem.

    9) Roleplay Best Practices

    • Match tone: If the bio says the character is ruthless and strategic, lean into intrigue, power plays, and negotiation.
    • Set scenes: Give time, place, stakes. The AI responds better to vivid context.
    • Give objectives: “Convince me to fund your operation without revealing my weakness.”
    • Use the carousel: Reference the current portrait to anchor the scene (“You adjust the lapels of your charcoal blazer.”)

    10) Privacy, Safety, and Etiquette

    • Don’t share personal identifiers (full name, address, financial info).
    • Use report/block in if anything feels off.
    • Remember: characters are fictional; treat creators and community respectfully.

    11) Troubleshooting

    • No audio on calls:
      • Check browser mic permission (Site settings → Microphone → Allow).
      • Select the right input device in your OS audio settings.
      • Refresh the page and call again.
    • Messages not sending:
      • Verify internet connection and re-login.
      • If the send arrow is disabled, click the text box once and try again.
    • Profile/bio not loading:
      • Scroll the right panel; if still blank, reload the page or try another browser tab.
    • Pop-up in the way:
      • Click the × on the “Give me a call” card to dismiss it.

What SoulGen Officially Says About Chat

    • The site labels one of its main features as “AI Chat”, described with phrases like “Create your perfect AI soulmate”, “Customize their appearance and personality”, and “enjoy personalized, intimate conversations.” But there’s no clear mention of NSFW or explicit chat in the official description.
    • The tone is romantic, emotional, and heavily suggestive of companionship, but subtle. That leaves it ambiguous whether SoulGen allows actual erotic content or if it’s limited to a PG-13 level of personalization.

    Community & Review Insights

    • Third-party comparisons categorize SoulGen Chat as allowing users to “interact and chat with their nsfw anime characters chatbots,” and even mention creating connections in a “virtual community.”
    • That hints strongly at NSFW chat capability—even if the official site doesn’t say it outright.
    • There are also promotional write-ups (like on FunFun.ai) that reference SoulGen offering “NSFW AI Generator, face swap, and chatbot”, describing it as a tool for daring creativity. Still, these may reflect aspirational marketing more than actual policy.

    What’s Official But Unclear

    • Under Terms of Service, SoulGen defines content creation broadly (pictures made from text and personal references) without explicit allowances or bans on NSFW chat—instead focusing on image generation rules.
    • Privacy policy says user-generated content is stored for 7 days by default—but no special limits or protocols for sexually explicit chat are mentioned.

My Take: Chat-wise, Are NSFW Conversations Realistic?

I’m seeing signs that SoulGen wants to position itself as adult-friendly when it comes to images and video—but for chat, it’s far more vague. Descriptions lean toward emotional intimacy, but with no explicit reference to erotic language or scenarios, I suspect:

    • SoulGen Chat is likely PG-13 friendly for now, avoiding graphic sexual content.
    • Third-party reviews and ranking comparisons suggest users have expectations of NSFW chat—maybe they encountered ways around the filters, or earlier versions allowed more explicit dialogue.
    • Without clarity from SoulGen, you’re stepping into a grey zone—might get steamy flirty talk, but full explicitness could be blocked.

Emotionally, this feels like promising someone an edgier conversation than they’re actually delivering—a tease rather than a plunge.

If You’re Thinking of Trying It: What to Try & Watch For

    1. Start with flirty or sensual prompts that lean toward erotic, but stop short of explicit. See how the AI responds.
    2. Note any self-censorship: Does the chat bot sidestep, change topics, or revert to polite safe phrases when you push boundaries? That reveals where moderation likely kicks in.
    3. Test consistency: Are the chat responses emotionally rich and personal, or formulaic and vague?
    4. Compare the experience with images: If the images are uncensored but chat isn’t, that split in capability might help you decide if SoulGen serves your aims.

    Feature

What’s Likely (Based on Public Info & Reviews)

“Intimate Chat”Emotional and personalized, but probably not graphic
NSFW PossibilityHinted at by comparisons and promotions, but ambiguous in actual policy
Official PolicyNo explicit prohibition—but no permission either; moderation settings unclear
My VerdictWorth a flirtatious test—don’t expect uncensored sexual chat out of the box
